About Lisa

Helping You Listen to Your Body, Rewrite Your Story, and Find Lightness and Laughter Again

Lisa is a highly experienced and deeply intuitive therapist with over 20 years of supporting teens and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, substance abuse, eating disorders, and sports-related stress. Her work is rooted in the belief that everyone has the capacity to heal and to laugh, thrive, and feel free again.

Lisa is known for infusing warmth, creativity, and humor into her sessions. She meets clients with deep presence and empathy, while offering gentle and honest guidance toward meaningful change. When words are hard to find, she incorporates expressive approaches like art, somatic body work, and animal-assisted therapy. Her German Shepherd, Nym, and her horse often support this work and help create powerful moments of connection, and her famous Lord of the Rings support group and Christmas group are beloved by her clients.

Lisa is widely recognized for her expertise in eating disorder recovery, especially with clients who feel hopeless or stuck. She is passionate about helping those who struggle with anorexia, and she firmly believes that full recovery is possible. Her innovative work with body image and trauma has helped many clients reconnect with their bodies and create lasting freedom.

As a lifelong runner and certified track and cross-country coach, Lisa also specializes in working with athletes. She supports those facing performance anxiety, perfectionism, burnout, injury or a loss of identity around performance. Whether helping an athlete rebuild confidence after a fall* or rediscover joy in movement, Lisa offers a compassionate space to heal and grow.

As a Certified Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP), Lisa brings a body-based approach to therapy, helping clients reconnect with their inner wisdom and build safety, regulation, and resilience from the inside out.

Whether you are facing anxiety, eating concerns, past trauma, or a struggle to feel like yourself again, Lisa will meet you with heart and hope. She is here to help you reconnect with the light inside you and nurture the unique way it was always meant to shine.

**Lisa has developed a unique program specifically designed to support individuals recovering from falls and related trauma. Whether you’re an athlete in a jump-based sport (such as gymnastics, cheerleading, diving, horseback riding, skating, or running) or someone who has experienced a fall or accident, Lisa understands how difficult it can be to regain both physical and emotional confidence. Using the Safe and Sound Protocol alongside somatic and trauma-informed techniques, her specialized approach helps clients reconnect with a sense of safety in their bodies and rebuild trust in their movement. This service has been especially impactful for athletes experiencing “the twisties” or post-injury anxiety, as well as for older adults and individuals recovering from car accidents. If you’re struggling to bounce back after a fall, Lisa offers thoughtful, targeted support to help you move forward – stronger, safer, and more connected than before.

A Bit More About Lisa:

If you’re someone who feels more at home in nature than in a crowd, who has a mild (or more) obsession with Christmas, or who finds wisdom in the words of hobbits – Lisa just might be your people.

Outside of her clinical work, Lisa assists in wildlife rehabilitation and has a deep love for animals, from coyote pups to baby squirrels to her loyal German Shepherd. She finds healing in grounding into her body, whether she’s horseback riding, running trails, or dancing beneath a Christmas tree.

She’s also a proud Lord of the Rings nerd and believes in the power of ordinary individuals doing extraordinary things. Clients who appreciate metaphor, magic, and nature often feel right at home in her care.

If you’re looking for someone who will both gently challenge and wholeheartedly champion you, Lisa is ready to begin that journey with you.

**In addition to therapy, Lisa also offers Life Coaching services to clients regardless of location. Coaching provides a refreshing, strength-based approach to unlocking your true potential and achieving the results that matter most to you.
